We invited YOUNG PEOPLE to participate in a consultation and conference about what does and does not work in the Criminal Justice System for young people who have been victims of sexual crime.

We wanted to hear the views of young people and share with them the changes underway to improve experiences. We also invited contributions that challenge the current system.

We also invited papers from interested professionals to participate in the conference. We wanted papers from those who can hear the views of young people and share with them the positive changes underway to improve experiences. In addition we invited papers that can challenge the current system in place in a constructive way.

“I’m still here you know!” - Conference

Training ~

We offer a range of training courses for front line workers working with victims of rape and sexual abuse including ' An introduction to working with children and young people who have been sexually abused'. Our aim is to provide training which can develop the skills and capacity of professionals working with victims of abuse so that they feel both comfortable and capable of working in this field, which in turn helps those who are disclosing abuse to feel heard and understood in a safe and proactive way.
